My Last Drawing...of the Year!

 2023 Is Gone!

2023 is finally nearing an end, actually it has ended. By the time you read this we will be well into the new year of 2024. Well, one week into the first month. January 6th to be exact is when this came out. On the feast of Epiphany. Epiphany, meaning a manifestation of a divine or supernatural being. At this we are referring to the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles as represented by the Magi (Matthew 2:1–12)

This scene I drew is the Epiphany, when the three Magi arrived in Bethlehem and found Jesus by following the star. …And entering into the house, they found the child with Mary his mother, and falling down they adored him; and opening their treasures, they offered him gifts; gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I time lapsed this drawing so you can follow the progress and the procedures I used in creating this picture. And maybe after viewing it, inspiration will flow from within you to maybe even create your own drawing!

- Here are a few progress photos I took while drawing.

Saint Joseph.

Mary and the child Jesus.

A bit of the background showing up.

There are two of the Magi.

Oh, there is the third Magi.

And the finished picture!

I hope you enjoyed following along on this Epiphany drawing, If you would like to see the time lapse, visit the link below for the YouTube video.

Who is your favorite Magi?
